ABOUT US

Let's get Aquainted

For those who don’t yet know me, I’ve been traveling back and forth between my home in the US and the Philippines regularly for the past 20 years.  I’ve come to appreciate life in the Philippines, and about 10 years ago, I decided to build a second home in the Visayan Islands, on the island of Negros. We subsequently started building our house and finally completed it about 4 years ago. Our second home is in a small farming community known as Mabinay, in the center of Negros, where sugar cane farms surround us.

As I get closer to retirement, I am increasingly anxious to spend quality time in Mabinay.  This will be my last year working full-time, and then I plan to split my time between the US and Mabinay!  By the way, this picture is in Mabinay, and the site is known as Mabinay Spring!

The Island of Negros

In the previous comments, I mentioned that there are a number of pictures on this site from the Philippines.  Well, every picture on this page is from the island of Negros. This one to the left is actually the waterfront in Dumaguette,.

The picture above this one is a shot from the road heading from Dumaguete to Mabinay.  As you can tell, we travel up through some small mountains as we head inland, and the view is gorgeous!  In fact, I like this area so much, and the view never lets me down, so I ended up acquiring another property not too far from where this picture was taken.  I like the view that much!
